The less said about Dhurandhar and its soundtrack, the better — the movies are phenomenal and the soundtrack has already been submitted for Grammy nominations, so it doesn’t need any more hype from me. But on an album filled with so many standouts, there’s Phir se is the song I find myself humming the most.
The song is about fooling oneself that time will heal everything . It’s about how grief doesn’t simply disappear — it just waits quietly until a memory brings it all rushing back.
Phir se naina bhare, samjhe the hum gham hai khatam
Listen to the amazing Veena by Ramana Balachandhran that just elevates the poignant lyrics by Irshad Kamil.
